OBJECTIVES :
- Want to integrate metabolomics into your research or analytical projects, but don’t know where to start?
- Whether your focus is on agrosciences, nutrition, human health, environmental science, biotechnology, or animal health, this training designedby MetaboHUB is for you!
- The knowledge acquired during the training will be assessed throughout the session by means of practical exercises or round-table discussions.

Day 1 : Basics of Metabolomics

Practicals : Hands-on with sample prep (microbial, plant) ; Fast-filtration, Liquid/ Liquid and Solid/Liquid extractions ; Robotised techniques Day 2 : Acquisition and processing in MS
- Basics of MS (ionisation, analysers, fragmentation)
- Untargeted & Semi-targeted Analyses
- Targeted Analyses
Practicals : Detection & Identification with HRMS (LC-ESI-HRMS, MS/MS) ; Targeted Quantitative Analyses (LC-ESI-tQMS) Day 3 : Acquisition and processing in NMR
- Basics of NMR
- Untargeted NMR Analysis of Biological Matrices
- Quantification Methods for Biological Matrices
- Annotation
Practicals : Hands-on with biological samples ; Bucketing ; Quantification ; Annotation Day 4 : Statistics and Chemometrics
- Introduction to chemometrics (DoE, Normalisation, Tools…)
- Uni- & Multivariate statistics
- Molecular networks
Practicals : Hands-on with statistics for metabolomics ; Hands-on with MS annotation (MS & MS/MS, molecular network…)
Day 5 : Half day for advanced sessions 3 topics to choose from: Metabolic networks, Fluxomics, Lipidomics
